I’m having issue now. I’m my 5000 for hay baling. Yesterday pto was engaging fine but after about couple hours of running it, it just stopped in mid bale. I haven’t checked strainer. I hope it’s not pump!

So the sockets are ruined. What u mean teeth start leaning? I noticed grease coming from both seals today. I also notice as chain is rotating, it will jump like it’s a bad spot on chain. Chain did break and I put it back together before all this problem started.

I tried a pair of those but can’t get snap ring open wide enough to come over groove that it sits in.

I am looking for information on where I might can find transmission for Gehl baler. Can these be overhauled? Thanks everyone for feedback. I’m not sure what happen to make PTO stop working. All we did was drain old fluid and replace with new fluid. I have bale about 20 bales without any issues and able to finish for the year.

Yes, it happen after it was hot

Before I drained fluid, I took off and looked into the overfill hole and I could see the fluid.

I drained the fluid and it didn't look like any water in it. I will put new fluid in tomorrow. How do you adjusted the clutch?
