That's what the strainer looked like when I removed it. I just used a cutoff wheel to notch around the plug and rinsed it out with a diesel bath. Cleaned up really nice but forgot to take an after picture. Most of the gunk was blue rtv from the previous owner sealing up the 3 pt hitch cover on...
Not sure of the size difference between the Woods 650 & 750, but I have the 650 on my B7200d and it does just fine. Dug out a few stumps this fall with no problems.
