So, I have a 1973 Ford 3000 Gas that I'm working on. The generator wasn't charging and the light was staying on all the time. Decided that I'd look at it today and see what I could make of it. The battery side hood had been off for the past 10 years and the tractor was outside. :thumbdown...
They say if life gives you lemon you make lemonade. So what do you do when life gives you cucumbers and bell peppers. That's right, you make sweet pickle relish. Made 15 pints.
Pulled the loader out of the weeds this morning and got it back on the tractor. I was surprised everything worked fine after sitting for about 10 years.
The previous owner of my Ford 3000 had let the stabilizer pin get loose. Over time the hole got wallowed out and tore the 1/4" plate steel.
Got the old bracket cut off and a new one fab'ed up.
Now just waiting on the paint to dry.

I see a few different areas to post things about Ford tractors. Is the "Vintage Ford Tractor" section the right place for Ford 3000 related questions or is one of the other places better suited? Not sure where y'all are drawing the line in the sand for "vintage".
