GC Series - 23 or 25 HP from the same size engine: How do they do that?

I've had (3) of these machine. Two 23HP and my latest one is the 25HP. For blowing snow with a front mount blower - I see a noticeable difference in power / bogging. With the 25HP model (different torque too) the blower almost never makes the tractor bog down. If my ground speed is too fast...

Carport Concrete Options Tubes Vs Footer/Frostwall

Having a 32x32' shop with 15' carport added on this spring. How should I support the posts for the carport? I live in Maine so the garage will have a 4' frost wall with footer. The slab basically just floats inside from what I understand. Would it be best to pour a wall for the posts...

    Gc Hydraulic Quick Couplers

Just a heads up when Massey updated the GC hydraulic quick connect couplers on the loader (2017-2018) they created a bit of a compatibility problem. If you happen to upgrade your pre 2017 tractor to a newer one - your older snowblower with the smaller fittings wont plug in! And of course I...

    New GC1720 Loud Drive

Hey guys on my new 1720 the drive seems to be really really loud especially in low. It is a loud whining noise. It goes away almost completely in high. I think it only makes the noise when the tractor is moving really. In other words if I would put the loader up against a stationary object...

    Backhoe Drifts

Hey guys I have a brand-new gc1720 my backhoe swing seems to drift towards the right as I'm working around the yard let's say with the loader. After 10 minutes of loader work the backhoe is angled Maybe 20 degrees and I have to reach back and straighten it out. I would assume there is...

The Changes in the GC1700s in 2018 - steering, seat, couplers - an open house

The backhoe joysticks & steel cover for the valve manifold is different than my old one also. I really hope the valves are the same since the old ones worked nice.

Factory Thumb for GC1700 CB65 Hoe, works good, install is a breeze.

My new thumb doesnt retract far enough to get out of the way either. I wonder if it is the wrong thumb - perhaps for a bigger hoe? Here is my old machine - notice how the thumb retracts further for storage.

The Changes in the GC1700s in 2018 - steering, seat, couplers - an open house

Just got my new 1720 a few days ago. Looks like a new/stronger hydro filter gaurd as well! All good things! Havent even tried it yet to see if the loader cycle time is noticable.

    Ebay Thumb Reviews

Anyone buy one of these? Wondering about the fit on my Massey subcompact. Also wondering how far back the movable/adjustable piece moves back out of the eay towards the dipper Edit- looks like this might be a Titan attachments piece.
