Looking for salvage Ford 1920 tractor with a bad engine. Need for a project.

Have a question on my L2350. The clutch disengages the tractor, but it is difficult to change the gear selector ( like it is torqueing up). Never have had any issues, 433 hours on tractor. Sits for long periods of time. What would cause this?
