After lunch, diesel tractor won't start

It's a tad late, but FWIW here's the solution that was discovered. One of the fuses (20A) was blown. No relation to anything that controls the electrical system generally, and certainly nothing that would cause the tractor to refuse to start. I now carry spare fuses :)

    Bolt on pallet forks

I own Titan forks. Excellent quality. BTW, they have a load range, so you get to customize.

Looking for a good compact tractor

Yup. I purchased the 4400 (No F!) recently. It had been on the lot for 2 years -- probably the last one in the US. One of the selling points was that it pre-dated the latest DPF :-(

Looking for a good compact tractor

I would add to the already good advice: 4WD and equal-sized tires, front and rear. There is an ideal solution for your situation, which seems to be the same as mine: Antonio Carraro TTR 4400. Regrettably expensive and no longer in production. "Pre-owned"? I'm working at removing dead trees that...

    Stihl FS108 gear head

I'm looking for a gear head for a Stihl FS108. Regrettably, it has to be the 108 - Stihl made this on with special dimensions :) Anybody with a broken one gathering dust?

Need advice on a larger chainsaw for an older guy.

I have a Stihl FarmBoss/271. I'm cleaning up after a fire .... a lot of cutting. I took it to the dealer, who, upon hearing what I was doing, said, "You have the wrong saw for the work you are doing. The 271 is for occasional work." I bought a Stihl 261, and it works like a charm. In addition...

Rotary Cutter Brush cutting for beginners...

I've used a flail mower on a 40 HP tractor. It works -- sort of --- but not with anything larger than a quarter inch. With a 90 HP tractor I get OK results up to a quarter inch. As an alternative, you might consider a "professional" brush cutter (I have a Stihl FS 131) with a "chainsaw" blade...

    Fueling tractor

Here's what I do. Key is the "Safety Siphon" https://amazon.com/gp/product/B000BG1X54/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1.It does not always empty the jug entirely, but what's left is easy to deal with.

    assemble pto drive shaft

This concerns a PTO drive shaft that has come apart. The shaft itself, not its PTO connection. The shaft connection is splined. The tractor side has a section where there are no splines - width of two or three splines. I would expect to find a matching section on the implement side, but no dice...

After lunch, diesel tractor won't start

Antonio Carraro TRH 9800, 4 cyl Yanmar diesel engine Spent the am pulling a flail mower. Not even a hick-up. Returned after lunch, it would not turn over. All indicators normal, no sound from the starter solenoid. Here's what I've looked into so far. Safety interlocks on seat, parking brake...

Ballast  when do i need wheel weights

Is the reason that "more weight is better" or are there more complex decision factors. I ask because I've had a couple of situations where the tractor has dug itself into soft ground.

Loader  What to do with a bent arm

Here's a photo of the problem. The arm in question has a 5mm bend as compared to the other arm (background). For context, here's a broader view. What course of action do you suggest? Thanks.

    Rim separates from flange

Here's the problem The cap screw is M14x1.5x50mm, grade 8.8. That's 'as delivered' from the factory. The first time this happened the rim-to-flange connections were ripped apart. This time I was alert to the problem and found it when the cap screws had worked a bit loose. The holes in the...
