Anyone get as much enjoyment as I do refurbishing an old implement over buying a new one? A little welding,cleaning,painting,new PTO shaft,some grease / gear lube, blade touch-up and this old 5 foot J Bar runs like a new one. And I have less than 400.00 in her including the 250.00 purchase...

Remove the battery after use and it will last years too .Must be something in the design that slowly drains them when left installed.

I use a 60" Swisher Trailmower pulled with a comfy riding ATV. Have been mowing 6 acres with the same setup for over 20 years.Takes less than 2 hours if I keep the blades sharp and don't let it get too high. The upgraded 18HP engine I installed helps tremendously.

Never had any luck with anything rechargeable.Including power tools.Just don't seem to have the stamina of a plug into the wall or start the engine machine.
