My new place has tons of garage space, but nothing with a high door, so if I get something with fixed ROPS, I will likely have to modify it.
I would assume, put the hinge point up as high as practical will be the safest. then maybe 3/8" ears and plates (dependent on weight rating of course)to...
Here is a pick off of an ebay listing for a parker v20 spool for a single acting valve. It just looks like they put a bunch more effort into the machining of it.
It is a bit simpler because it is for a single acting cylinder, but you get the idea.
The V20 is a very established valve that has...
I saw one old narrow front end tractor converted to a wide with maybe a Ford TTB suspension, complete with springs. I can't image what that loader does to an automotive front end.
As far as helping me spend my money, going to borrow a machine in the short term.
Is this a real tractor capable of working in the dirt, or just a lawnmower with aspirations? Can I load it down and do some real work?
Any weaknesses or frailties?
Can the transmission handle a v twin repower?
Are 2000rpm implamets out there? Or is that just Honda trying to keep all that...
adding a trailer ball?
Is there a prefered way to add a trailer ball to these lawn tractors? I'd like to use the transport trailer as a yard trailer from time to time, but dont want to start welding or drilling a kill the waranty.
Mine is an XT2, so, I think twin vs. single, but the EFI is the same.
It is very simple, and I love it. I couldn't keep my push mowers running with todays crap gas so I made EFI a priority. Almost everything I have is EFI or battery powered.
I live in a relatively flat wooded area. I moved here late last summer. So far this year I've had 2 lighting strikes on trees in my yard. Would a lightning rod save the house? Or just make sure it is the house that gets hit? I was considering getting a standing seam metal roof for the place...
That is the perception, but not nescisarily the case.
I would expect a small tractor to last one heck of a lot longer than 8 years. Dad's 30 something year old Kubota just recently had its first non-abuse failure, that was basically a seal failure in the front axle. I care more about getting...
a wild shot here;
Does anyone have experience with Coots?
I may be going to look at a couple in the near future. I was considering setting 1 up as an amphibian (maybe raising the tub walls and baloon tires for higher water capacity) and one up as a mini tractor, since the footprint is about...
I am looking for a utility machine around the place (only 10 acres, mostly wooded, on a river) for road mantenance, moving tree corpses around, small scale construction and snow clearing. I am not looking at farming.
There are lots of things that could do what I want, but most everything is...
What would be suggest tiller and mower for this machine?
I am thinking a 8' flail mower and a 7'-8' tiller. Does that sound about right?
any specific ones suggested?
Dad is getting a new Yanmar, but doesn't want to give up his old Kubota L2550dt because his tiller and to a lesser extent, his...
Dad has ordered a new tractor to supplement his underutilized machinery collection. I am also considering some equipment for my place.
I am trying to see if the Ameriquip 80a 3-point backhoe he got years back for his Kubota L2550dt will work for the new Yanmar.
I found this...
