I have seen this before but not nearly to this extent. Thats why I felt compelled to post. If I had noticed this before I bought the tractor, I probably would have passed. I bought the tractor specifically for mowing the lawn and tilling garden. The range of motion going below ground level...
If pics are in correct order 1st is tiller all the way up 2nd sitting on the ground..3rd buried in ground while tilling...4th the reason I jacked the tractor up before I cut shaft. Tiller moves away from pto as it lowers. I needed to make sure shaft would be long enough when in working...
The attachment point for lower links is about 8" below the pto (this is the odd part) It really throws the whole geometry of the 3 point, pto pair off. The ball joints of the lower links are closest to the pto shaft when raised all the way up. Have used many tractors, own 4 with 3 point hitch at...
Today I hooked a King Kutter 48BX tiller to my RK21. I dont think this tractor was designed to handle a 3 point pto powered implement, at least not something that operates below the plane of the wheels, eg. a tiller 6" in the ground.
I jacked the tractor up so that when the 3 point was all the...
Ok I know this conversation started a year ago, but Ill post this for anyone who may run across as I did. Today I hooked a King Kutter 48BX tiller to my RK21. I dont think this tractor was designed to handle a 3 point pto powered implement, at least not something that operates below the plane of...
Maybe I can add something. I have a rk 21...aka 19, just bought a KK 48bx tiller for it from RK. When measuring the pto shaft to cut I've noticed, as the arms raise the tiller pto length shortens. Minimum pto length is when tiller is raised all the way up, maximum length is at working height. If...
I have one you have to pull the outer ring back then push whole assembly forward (while holding the outer ring back), to allow the engaging balls to release
I have always thought of grease as really thick oil. Oil would work in any grease joint, BUT you would need to CONSTANTLY be oiling that joint. Grease holds the lubricant where it needs to be and gradually releases it over time, thats why you grease gun seeps oil, and you see dry grease on joints
Same boat as OP. I went back and forth for 2 years on an RK55, finally bought one. I have a 36 year old MF1040, no dealer support, they have 0 parts available for that machine. I figure RK's cant be any worse. I'm hoping they're actually better in that there are so many RK's and identical TYM's...
