    L3400 Backhoe Options

Hello. I'm looking to add a backhoe to my L3400 w/LA463 loader. Does anyone know if the BH77 is compatible? Will need a compatible subframe too. I know I could go with a Woods or others but would like to take advantage of Kubota's 0% interest financing. Thanks.

    PTO Generator Question

A few months ago, I was planning ahead and purchased an old WinPower 12pt2 PTO generator. Last week, I was glad I did. The power went out, I hooked up the generator and everything seemed to work well (sump pump, fridge...) Just for kicks, before putting it away I decided to check the Hz. They...

    L3800 3pt hitch operation

I'm a little behind the curve on the L3800 but if I had to guess, and it may have already been stated, it's the same set up as the L3400. It's inspiring to read Sean's explanation about the valve, it makes a lot of sense and it's easy to follow. It's nice to see some renewed/continued interest...

    L3400 HST/Hydraulic Filter Change, 200 hr.

OK, I've just passed the 200 hour mark and per the manual I'm supposed to drain all the hydraulic fluid, replace the filters and put the drained fluid back in. The manual does not call for new fluid and I'm not looking to spend more than I need to. Has anyone done this on an L3400? Is it...

    Aerator Suggestions?

Hi, thought I'd take a shot a seeing what you all think. I have some fairly intense clay soil and fairly poor top soil and this obsession with driving my tractor around my yard (Kubota L3400 R4's). Anyway, my lawn tends to take on the quality of a country carnival parking lot and I'm thinking...

Grading  What are the odds? L3400 front blade sub frame?

We've come to learn that many aspects of the L3400 are interchangeable with other L models. For example the LA513 loader, not sold for use with the L3400, uses the same main frame, boom, cylinders as the LA463.. almost everything except the stickers. And the LA463 grill guard is the same for...

My quest for "Grand" 3 point performance from my "economy" tractor. The L3400

Re: My quest for "Grand" 3 point performance from my "economy" tractor. The L3400 Ok, if you're like me the suspense is killing you so I'll get to the point first. I was wrong about improving performance, I think it might be 20% WORSE. But I was right about the valves being...

My quest for "Grand" 3 point performance from my "economy" tractor. The L3400

Re: My quest for "Grand" 3 point performance from my "economy" tractor. The L3400 I pulled the original valve today. Except for care to avoid a spill and some concern about the amount persuasion needed to pull it out, it's really a 5 minute job. Didn't loose any fluid except what dripped off...

My quest for "Grand" 3 point performance from my "economy" tractor. The L3400

My quest for "Grand" 3 point performance from my "economy" tractor. The L3400 For those who have been following the research stage of my quest, thanks for your help, input and support... you'll probably want to skip to the paragraph starting with "So." For those new to this quest, here is a...

Question for L2900, L3000 and L3010 Owners: 3 point hitch

These machines share the same 3 pt. position control valve at end stages in their production as the L2800 and L3400... which has had a major position control performance flaw. The L2900, L3000 and L3010 also have in common with each other, their three point lowering speed valve. The L2800 and...

L3400 L2800 Position Control Valve Research

Please, do your own research before acting on any of this information, I'm not guaranteeing that the numbers are accurate or that I typed them correctly. Part numbers listed for position control valves, in the order they appeared in their respective tractor model or as a part of a draft control...

Question for L3010 Owners: 3 point hitch

any with a minute to help out an "Economy" tractor owner? If you haven't been following the L2800/L3400 jerky 3 point hitch saga... originally the L2800/L3400's had a nearly unusable, jerky 3 point position control hitch. To remedy this Kubota made a production change that replaced the sloppy...

How many people wax their rims?

I don't wax mine but I wouldn't fault anyone who did. With what I've seen people put into their "disposable" cars I'm not surprised people would wax the rims on their favorite machine. For many here, I believe their tractors represent a significant investment and a luxury of sacrifice.

Ballast  L3400, LA463 Grill Guard and Suitcase Weights

Is anyone out there using Kubota suitcase weights on their L2800/L3400 with their standard LA463 Grill Guard? I spoke with my dealer and they said Kubota claims this guard isn't designed for hanging weights on, even though it looks just like an L series weight bracket but with four mounting...
