    Tank level for gravity feed

Ended up being that the water separator/filter housing had an internal blockage ( probably from being a used part and sitting for who knows how many years in an old tractor repair shop.) I had to drill out the blockage and then hooked everything up, bled the system and used it for an hour before...

    Tank level for gravity feed

It’s weird, I loosened that bolt and even loosened the bleeder on the back right and it’s still not breaking the airlock. Since I replaced the whole filter housing from a local used tractor parts place I’m gonna try blowing some air back through the bleeders in case there’s some kind of gunk or...

    Tank level for gravity feed

I have a Ford 345D and I just replaced the water separator and the fuel filter. (Water separator had a chip at the top, very very slowly letting in air) my question is: I put it back together and the fuel isn’t gravity feeding into the separator. There is only 5 gallons, maybe 4 in the tank, is...

Ford 345D gas shut off problem

How many times around should the gas shut off turn before stopping? I feel like I turn and turn and it doesn’t stop. I think it’s broke but at least stuck on the ON position. I don’t think I can turn the fuel off though. Should I drain fuel and replace the fuel shutoff or is 10+ turns normal?

    345 D Ford stalling

It was the o ring on the fuel filter!! It was blocking fuel flow, so simple and so crazy. It is a Napa filter. After I bled everything, fired right up. I ended up having to make a key, that was nuts. I can’t find the right key online but made one easy enough! Lol thanks again everyone, love...

    Ford 345 D won’t move

Ended up being the filter in the transmission. And the water in the loader hydraulics came out when I raised the loader all the way up to drain it. Thanks!!

    345 D Ford stalling

Wow guys I don’t know what I’d do without you guys, I’ll let you all know how I make out tomorrow. I’m gonna check to make sure the o ring isn’t blocking fuel and if that isn’t the problem I’ll drain the tank. I bet it’s clogged

    345 D Ford stalling

My ford 345 D stalled the other day, so I checked the air filter and then changed the fuel filter and cleaned out the water separator. Bled the filter, then the fuel injector pump, then had my brother start it and give it full throttle while I had all 3 injector lines cracked open. Once I saw no...

    Ford 345 D won’t move

This is the transmission hydraulic suction filter screen. I don’t think it can be cleaned so I’m gonna call around tomorrow and see if I can find one. Any opinions on the possibility that this could be what is causing tractor to not move?

    Ford 345 D won’t move

I wonder if maybe the hydraulic clutch might not be applying? It’s weird that it has moved recently but most of the time it will ever so slightly inch forward just a little bit then stop. It’s Almost like when I apply the throttle someone is pushing the tractor from the back but not able to move...

    Ford 345 D won’t move

I don’t understand why at times I can get in it and move it and other times it won’t move at all. After delving into the service manual I understand more about the hydraulics. It can’t be related to the problem I’m having with the movement. I just can’t understand why it doesn’t want to move...

    Ford 345 D won’t move

How do I change the torque converter oil, is that separate from the rest of the transmission oil?

    Ford 345 D won’t move

I had sucked some of the fluid out after I ran it last time after I change the hydraulic fluid and then I put it in a jar and let it separate for a week. I’ve been hoping that this is why the tractor barely moves and other times doesn’t move at all but I don’t think it is. Either way I have to...

    Ford 345 D won’t move

I think there is a I changed the two hydraulic filters but one of them was for the hydrostatic hydraulic steering. There’s a little screen like a bucket with a handle inside the hydraulic reservoir. That was hard to get out so I didn’t mess with it last time any further. I’m getting ready to do...

    Ford 345 D won’t move

Thanks for your reply @LouNY , it’s does have a torque converter and the “de clutch” I was worried that it might possibly be stuck on “de clutch” but I think that is working ok. After my last drain/refill It would move but wouldn’t engage all gears, mostly only 4 hi. I’m hoping it’s only the...
