    Brush Grubber

Bought one of the HD Brush Grabbers, and I have to rate it as "meh." Found that I was on & off the tractor for positioning...and lots of re-positioning, as it tends to slip easily and often. I have a Kubota L3200 with filled rear tires, and I'm also not-so-pleasantly surprised at just how...

    Gas Transfer Pump

After getting tired of hoisting/holding 5-6 gallons of fuel over the middle of the hood of my Kubota to refill fuel, I bought one similar to this. It's self-contained and runs off standard AA batteries, IIRC...

    Compacting gravel driveway

The K.I.S.S approach works well for me...1-1/4 minus, tailgated out over a solid base. Wet or dry doesn't seem to make a difference, and I think I recall the trucking company telling me the weight percentage difference between wet/dry is about 1% in practice. We pay by the ton here, and I'm...

Why don’t you own a toothbar?

Simple, because I just ordered it and am waiting for it to ship. Decided the Piranha is the right one for my usage, which is to rip out lots of blackberry, salmonberry, ferns, and small saplings without having to scrape a ton of topsoil off the surface. With some steep and uneven terrain...

The one thing that you wonder why you didn't buy sooner?

Other than acreage, I'd have to say my "More Power Puller" come-along. It's a serious, 27# chonk that's been used many times over a whole lot of years. https://www.wyeth-scott.com/

    Pick Up Bed Liners

Good call on the Line-X, OP. My general observation from owning two Rhino lined trucks is that Rhino Liner was a little softer and grippier, but it gouged easier and UV faded/got chalkier more than the Line-X that an ex-gf had. From what I've seen, OEM liners seem to be sprayed thinner than...

Any Excavation Professionals Feel Like Giving Advice?

Is this a big problem in Ohio, where the OP lives?

Any Excavation Professionals Feel Like Giving Advice?

There's a lot to be said for RR ballast. (That's 3/4" and 2-1/2" screen, crushed in my area.) I put it over less than optimal base in two locations, and it worked even better than I thought it would. I always remove as much topsoil as possible first. In another spot, I used it to build up an...

Flail Mower Haban 502 Flail Mower Capabilities (Set Up for 3-pt.)

Picked up the flail, but I also have a 6' bush hog now. The bush hog is probably more suited to my uses and the tractor. Likely going to sell the flail rather than try to make it work on the back of my tractor.

    death of regular cab pickups

Big believer in buying the right tool for the job, so that's what I do personally. I also understand that others have a use for and want different configurations. I know it seems weird, but I don't get my undies in a bundle that they buy trucks for their needs and not mine. 🤷‍♂️

Best CUT attachment for this kind of earthmoving?

Can't speak for how you'll be using your tractor the most, but for all the time I spent pondering the backhoe attachment, I found that the box blade to backhoe use ratio is about 50:1. It's been my most useful attachment by far.

Why do we like trails so much?

The Fairbanks city bus that Christopher McCandless lived in is a nice touch on the map. :) Worked hard to establish a perimeter trail around my property initially, but didn't really get into building a true trail network until last year. Now I have my ADD trail system in progress. Keep...

Flail Mower  Haban 502 Flail Mower Capabilities (Set Up for 3-pt.)

Looks like I'm going to get an old Haban 502 flail mower with knife blades that's been fabricobbled into a 3-point hitch configuration. It's 3' wide, so it will be a bit on the small side for my Kubota L3200. Googling didn't give me much on its capabilities, so if anyone can shed some light on...

Tractor News  New L3200 and BH77 Arrived Today

After lots of research, hemming and hawing, and a little bit of second guessing, the new tractor arrived this morning. We're getting the monsoon treatment right now, so it needs to dry out a little before putting it to work, but I'm excited. Ended up going with the L3200 HST 4x4 with loaded...

Buying Advice  Leaning Toward an L3200

After quite a bit of lurking and soaking up information here, posing the occasional question, talking to dealers, scouring Craigslist, and general pondering :confused2:, I've ended up leaning strongly toward buying an L3200. The only spoiler doubt in my mind is that I would love to have a B26...
