GOSH! We had 2 Rs built in 1950 I think. Is John Deere going backwards? Really, buy an M as the frames are heavy and matching loaders are heavier. My 5075M out weighs the E by 1000 lb, and the attach point for the loader is massive. Will never break it.
It's a combination of Corporate greed and Walmartitis. The Government promotes monopolies so they can better control them. Look around, 4 big corporations selling all the goods, 4 big trucking companies, 4 railroads, 4 auto manufacturers, 4 telephone co.. Get the picture? Too late!
That is called Rustling and they can still hang you for it in Texas. Some old laws are never recinded, like"It is illegal to take a bath in a horse trough on Polk Avenue in Amarillio Texas"
I let my 5075M idle at 1100 RPM and John Deere says to idle it at that speed so.... I don't let it idle all day, I dont shut it off for less than 15 minutes of idle, I cool it down 4 minutes after mowing etc.I dont have DEF, its a 2013.
They are IMHO a faulty design frome JD. It has too weak a spring and a flimsy pin built for lawnmowers. Usually have to take them apart and buy a new spring. I dont like them and bent the lift arm on the left side from mine coming out.
