Kubota GC-F30H Grass Collector on F3060

The square tubes welded on the deck was for a homemade de-thatcher the previous owner had built. I'm mostly wondering about general thoughts on the high-dump grass collector. They seem pretty rare. I'm hoping someone can share their experiences with mounting and dismounting it. I can start...

Kubota GC-F30H Grass Collector on F3060

I just recently purchased a F3060 to replace my aging F2100. After 12 years of cutting with an old F-series, I just couldn't see any other type of machine fitting the bill. I came across this machine, and was a little hesitant given it only has a 60" deck, but it's relatively low hours (2100)...

    Need a head for a Ford 1210

As per the thread title, anyone know of a decent source, preferably in Canada? Current head is cracked. The tractor's in decent shape otherwise (with a loader), and I was planning on selling it and buying a new tractor (25-25 CUT or a light-commercial TLB like a B21-26). I'd hate to write it...

Waterproof Solderless Heat Shrink Butt Terminal on sale

I have a somewhat related question on the subject of low-voltage wire connecting: What do you all do for T-joints (like you might find on trailer wiring)? I'm happy to solder joints, but how do you seal them after? Even putting 2 of the wires inline makes it hard to get a good seal with heat...

    UTV - Trying to Decide

Adding an overland or utility option package to a new Polaris Xpedition and throw in a few accessories, and you'd be well over $80k with taxes. Insanity.

Bucket work with clutch /shuttle Vs hydro.

I have a lot of machinery at my disposal with forks (tractors, backhoe, skidsteer, FEL, forklift). The dedicated forklift is usually the least convenient to grab, but I often curse myself when I don't make the effort. Visibility is the biggest advantage, followed by maneuverability (rear steer...

Bucket work with clutch /shuttle Vs hydro.

One advantage of a hydro I haven't seen mentioned is the ability for precision and creeping up on things smoothly. Great for precision loader work and maneuvering. No power shuttle I've operated comes close to being able to do that. Maybe my old man harped on me too much back in the day...

What's Your Favourite 2 Stroke Oil Mix Tool

Around here it's more like a 15-20% difference depending on the models. The local dealer network isn't great either, with most of them not exactly being small engine specialists. My Stihl dealer down the road has been good to me and knows his products. M-tronic isn't for everyone, and there...

What's Your Favourite 2 Stroke Oil Mix Tool

I like it, thanks! Seems like the KTM dealer up by our cottage (who I used to do some ice racing with) sells these. I'll definitely be stopping by next time to grab one.

What's Your Favourite 2 Stroke Oil Mix Tool

Well, most of Stihl commercial saws, other than the 881 and the smaller climbing saws are M-tronic, so limiter caps aren't going to be an issue. ;) I do think they (the older, non-m-tronics) come from the factory with a pretty lean tune (for emissions) and can't say I don't think opening them...

What's Your Favourite 2 Stroke Oil Mix Tool

I appreciate the suggestions thus far. The Ratio-Rite jug seems good, however they don't seem to make one for metric, and I've only seen one buying option that comes with a lid/cover. Yes, I can use a high-quality measuring cup, however I'm trying to find the perfect product that does the math...

What's Your Favourite 2 Stroke Oil Mix Tool

As I buy my 2 stroke oil in "bulk" (relatively speaking, as I buy it in 1 quart containers) and need to measure it out to mix with gas, I'm trying, with not a lot of luck, to find the ideal tool to suit my needs. Typically I mix my 2 stroke fuel in 5 liter (approx. 1.3 gal) jugs as I find this...

Brush Grapple vs Root Rake Grapple

That's a good suggestion for the landscape rake. An excavator isn't really an option right now. Anything I'd be looking to clear would be in the 2-4" size and shallowly rooted (buckthorn).

Brush Grapple vs Root Rake Grapple

Yeah, that definitely looks like it would be handy. I haven't come across any skid steer models that seem to have that. I've looked at TMG, but the preference is not to buy online.

Brush Grapple vs Root Rake Grapple

I'm leaning towards root rake although doing some reading it seems a brush/root grapple may be beeter suited to combing the soil and collect more fine material. For brands for root rakes, I'm not sure. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like Kubota/Landpride make what I'm looking for. The V60...
