The one I've seen was a digital getup. Like $400. It wasn't just a bench tester. It was meant to be used on the project. I'll have to see if I can find it again. I don't doubt there are several at any number of price points. I probably don't need one.
Yeah that's an interesting point. I've heard of torque gauges that can be placed between the impact and the nut. Besides being stupid expensive, are they any good?
I got a new impact wrench for Christmas. It's a Dewalt high torque max xr with a 1/2 inch drive. Real world numbers put it at right around 895 foot pounds.
I've needed one for a long time, but have always found something more urgent to spend my money on. Up until now I've been a...
Just for an experiment the other day, I tried to build the most expensive Deere utv I could. The online retail price came in at just about $65,000. I couldn't believe it.
My next tractor will have front fenders because it DOES have a cab. I keep waiting for a piece of stray gravel to crack that big windshield that goes all the way to the floor.
I road mine to and from the farm at least a few times a week. It's about 7 miles one way. Not too bad at 23 mph. I guess I've been too afraid to call and ask the cops if it's legal, but my limited reading tells me I'm in the clear in my state. So far no troubles at least. For sure I see many...
Ah cool. Makes sense. They do get grimy.
But why just two reservoirs for three valves? A smaller tractor I'm looking at has two valves but only one reservoir. Why always one fewer?
Just for curiosity sake, can someone help me out? These remote valves on the back of this tractor I can't afford appear to drain to small reservoirs below. (Or is that an uptake?) What am I looking at? I've never owned a machine that had them. Tractor is a New Holland T6.160.
Edit: Looks like...
I'm following up on this for any future users who might benefit.
Walterscheid got back with me quickly. They confirm that in the EU it is illegal to use asbestos in manufacturing.
The friction plates on their pto slip clutches do not contain asbestos at all.
I suspected as much, but am...
Can anyone tell me if the Walterscheid slip clutch I keep smoking uses asbestos clutch plates? Is that even done anymore? I'm too busy to die of cancer just yet.
All the implements are mounted on the 3PH. I sometimes carry an ibc tote filled with water on the front forks. Helps to balance out the steering a little, but probably not strictly necessary.
