    Case 450 Dozer

Good morning all, I致e recently purchased a mid 1970s Case 450 dozer with 4 cylinder diesel, and hydraulic 6-way blade. It appears to have been painted a couple of different shades of yellow/orange over the years, and the serial number tags are missing come to find out. This makes it a little...

2010C, need to get it started!

Hello everyone, I am glad I have found this forum! Seems to be lots of good info here! The other day I picked up a 2010C with I believe is the 602 blade? It痴 the 4 cylinder diesel. The number on the engine is 319826. The SN on the chassis is 2010C 39557 I picked this thing up for $2500...

    Three point valve broken!!!

I think I have figured out the problem. I think the vertical finger that presses on the spool pin is supposed to rotate freely on the pin that it rides on. Since my finger was broken and welded to the control shaft, I think that is causing it to basically be backwards of what it is supposed to...

    Three point valve broken!!!

So last night I disconnected the tension spring on the outside, and tried holding the lever gently to see if I could find the neutral. I was unable to find it that way. This photo from another thread shows the handle all the way forward, the linkage maxed out on the stop nuts, and the 3pt arms...

    Loader Loader for a YM2000

So here is my YM2000BD with a YFL1500 off of a 336D. Obviously the bucket is quite large. I am for sure going to take the top 1/3rd of the bucket off and weld a new top on to reduce its volume. I also am still trying to decide if I want to go through the hassle of making it more narrow as...

Yanmar YM2000 Fuel Pressure/ hard starting

Thanks for the replies Clemsonfor and California. In response to the RPM thing, I was running it around 15/1600rpm max when using & testing. In a different thread I read earlier, I believe I saw someone had said 2000-2200rpm for decent speed of the loader. I have no doubts that there has to...

    Loader Loader for a YM2000

Hope this helps, I scored an older Yanmar YFL1500 from a 336D for $800 a few weeks back. Granted it needs some things replaced, like hoses and the control valve, but oh well. Anyway, obviously a 336 is wider than the YM2000. I personally have a YM2000BD. I took inspiration from California’s...

Yanmar YM2000 Fuel Pressure/ hard starting

Alright, well here she is! Once I get it final bolted in place I’m going to make a cross piece to tie in the straps on the rear.

Yanmar YM2000 Fuel Pressure/ hard starting

And just like that, the cross member for a 336D now fits a YM2000BD! Even though I had some 3/8 plate available, I had to resort to using 1/4” due to available tooling. I am going to the metal yard in the AM to source some metal to make some tie ins from the cross member back to the rear draw...

Yanmar YM2000 Fuel Pressure/ hard starting

Okay, starting to get irritated with the tractor. Bought some three point stuff tonight and figured I’d get it set up and use my tractor for the first time this weekend with the box blade. Start tractor up, can’t get 3 point to lower. It worked when I bought it. Grr. Come to find out the welds...

Yanmar YM2000 Fuel Pressure/ hard starting

Just received an e-mail back from Hoye. These are the YM2000 engine torque specs that they sent me, containing rocket arm, head stud nut, crank shaft, and rod bolt torque specification:

Yanmar YM2000 Fuel Pressure/ hard starting

Peek a boo! I guess the 2nd photo didn’t upload originally. Broken top ring on each piston. 2nd ring broken on front piston along with broken ring lands. Crank and rod bearings appear to be in great shape though, so that’s a plus.

Yanmar YM2000 Fuel Pressure/ hard starting

Tried to update this last night, however the site would not let me upload the photos. I was able to remove the cylinder head last night and to my surprise the coolant passages were mostly blocked with what appears to be some sort of RTV/silicone type sealant that has been speared across both...

Yanmar YM2000 Fuel Pressure/ hard starting

Correct YFL1500, I wonder how far off they are. The loader brackets mount under the transmission via 3 bolts. The size comparisons of the 336 and 2000 don’t seem too much different in pictures, but that’s not comparing them side to side.
