Even with the steel prices jumping, there's a whole lot less steel in a new machine than your 2005. I was shocked at how thin everything has gotten on the new tractors (look at a brushguard on a L series) Plus go over 25HP and deal with DEF etc...no thanks!

I'd go with Kenny's 3/8" WELD on hooks with that light bucket, put them out towards the end on top of the loader where its stronger. I've picked up huge rocks and logs with these on each end.

L5030 a 2005 "vintage" 1100 hours runs like a champ use it for snow removal, grass cutting, brush hogging, and maintaining 1/4 mile long driveway. Wouldn't trade it for a new one with that EGR / DPF / DEF garbage + $10,000. lol!!!

Same hoses since 2005 although tractor is garage kept, when I clean it 2x a year I always wipe down them down with silicone on a rag. Now my Tuthill fuel hose; they're garbage last about 2-3 years max outdoors. -

I used Rotella dino 15w40 for ever with no issues. Unable to find any of it on shelves and recently moved to the Castrol GTX Diesel 15w40. Reasonable price, CK4 rated, and seems more than adequate for my 50 hour oil and filter changes. No issues with cold being in Pa winters either.
