2006 bx24 was having intermittent problems shutting off tractor. Then tractor would not shut off at all. Had to disconnect battery to shut it down. Any damage in doing that? The switch obviously needs to be replaced. Is this an easy fix? And how do I go about getting it out? Just did a quick...

I did a search on the fan belt change on the BX24. Are you kidding? You have to undue the drive shaft?! Anyway, it seems like there are 3 or 4 bolts to undo on the shaft flanges. Then move (slide ?) the rear shaft toward the rear, and slip the old belt off, then the new belt on. And then reverse...

Started my tractor yesterday, and it seemed like the battery was low. Started hard, but after holding glow plugs for 4-5 seconds finally started. Ran the tractor for a couple hours cutting and hauling cordwood. Everything was good, and I was hoping this would re-charge the battery. Shut it down...
