Simplicity Legacy - pull engine to pull starter?

I need to replace the starter on my Kohler 25hp powered Simplicity Legacy. The bottom bolt is partially blocked by the frame rail so that nothing is able to get to it. Any alternates other than loosening engine bolts and propping up enough to get to it?

JD 4210 E Hydro Loadmatch issue

My 4210 eHydro hesitates only when the Loadmatch is engaged. I've read here that maybe resetting the CPU (remove positive for >1 min) may fix it. Any other suggestions? TIA

    JD 4210 running PTO Generator?

Like so many others, I'm beginning to get onto the generator bandwagon. I have a JD 4210 e-Hydro, and wonder if it will be ok to run a 13KW PTO generator, and will it be ok to run it for hours at a time? The Northern Tool generator requires 24HP, I think the 4210 has 27HP gross and possibly...

    Kohler running on one cylinder

I've searched and read several threads here of similar issue as mine, and it sounds like my problem might be an ignition coil. I have a Simplicity Legacy mower with a Kohler 25. I was mowing on a slope when it started running very weak. I looked at the fuel gauge, and though I had about 1/2...

Rear Blade  What is a good price ?

I have a very lightly used Land Pride RBT1572 rear blade I was thinking of selling locally, but have no idea what it's worth. Every time I remember to call my JD dealer and ask, they're closed. Any feedback welcomed.

Watch out for large chunks of snow/ice!

This weekend I took the blade off the loader and put the bucket back on to move some of the snow piles further back from the drive. As luck would have it, a large chunk toppled over the back of the bucket when it was raised and landed on the hood of my 4210. I noticed later in the day that it...

    mirrors on Curtis cab?

I have a Curtis soft sided cab on my JD 4210. I really need some mirrors, and was wondering what others have done. I see a Universal Mirror Set on Curtis' web site, but I expect they are pretty pricey.

Best way to repair tire chain

Had a flat on the front tire while I was pushing snow this afternoon, and before I realized it the chain had slipped off and wrapped around the axle. Wound up busting about 6 or 7 sections of the chain. I figured the best link to get to repair is this kind: I plan on welding the end so it...

    Tirechain.com Rocks!!!

After getting tired of slipping and sliding for the last time, I ordered a set of rear chains for my JD 4210 on Sat 12/19. Checking the status from UPS, looks like they will be delivered today or tomorrow! Just in time to watch the 20+" of snow melt. Ah well, at least I will be...

    4210 right brake sticking

The right brake on my 4210 is sticking. I've pulled the brake rod off the arm at the rear wheel, so that I make sure the arm at the rear wheel is fully back disengaging the brake, and to keep it from dragging the tractor down. It feels like the shaft where it goes into the tranny may be dirty...

Be careful with the rockshaft filter connections

I was having some troubles with my 4210, and thought I would pull the rockshaft filter (located above the rear PTO) and service it. In trying to remove the filter, I must have done something, or maybe the factory or previous owner cross threaded it, cause I could not get the filter cap off of...

    4210 low on power/sluggish

Last night I was pulling my 4210 ehydro out of the barn to put on front chains, and noticed it was really sluggish, felt like it was barely able to make it from the barn to the house (all flat paved driveway) while in B range. I pretty much keep load match on all the time, and the sluggishness...

Need to replace seal on bucket curl cyl

The left cylinder for the bucket curl on my 420 FEL is leaking. How difficult is it to replace the seal? I assume seal kits are available from the dealer.

Snow Attachments  PT board as snow blade edge?

I could swear this has already been discussed here, but my searches didnt show anything, so sorry if this has already been beat to death. But I was thinking about replacing my JD FEL snow blade edge with a pressure treated board. I wanted to try this first to see how it worked rather than...

    Another Millonzi convert

I think I've read almost every post on the topic, and IslandTractor's great posts and pics convinced me this was the way to go. So I sold my ATI bucket grapple over the weekend, and just put my order in for the Millonzi LD48 grapple with JD quick attach plate. Lead time is 3-4 weeks. When I get...
