I was a U.S. Merchant Mariner, retired as Bosun's Mate, 3rd in command on board the vessel as head of the deck department. I was in charge of the docking and shoving off the dock procedures, headed the deck crew for ship maintanence, repairs, and other countless items that needed to be done.
I am now trying my hand at computer work online in the news genre. It's much more involved than I could have ever imagined. I'm 71 years of age and didn't grow up with computers. so it is a MAJOR learning curve for me.
