    Trailer - 17p or 18... decisions, decisions...

For Christmas, I want to buy a new trailer to match the x530 that I purchased for my wife - her existing trailer is very rusty, and well... buying an accessory for her tractor is easier than picking out a sweater. :o She likes her existing trailer because the tailgate flips up out of the way...

    Wife's Tractor

I can now legitimately post in the JD forums, thanks to my wife. She mows the yard 99% of the time, and it was time to get her something nice - she put up with a little Scott's/JD L17.542 for too many years. That wasn't enough tractor for our 2+ acres of lawn. I certainly want her to enjoy mowing!

    BX Seat Safety Switch

I saw another post regarding the seat safety switch being a PITA on the BX series, and thought I'd share my method of fixing it. My tractor used to sputter frequently while running over bumpy ground, or when backing up, as my weight would shift forward off of the seat. I'm only 145 lb on a good...

    Another BX2230 Tire Question

Looking for any ag tire that fits the front of a BX2230, without changing rims. Has anyone tried anything but the original 18x8.50-8 Trac Master OTR? I can find other brands that are similar, namely a 9.50 wide, but fear that the clearances will be too tight. Just looking for those that...

    Mowing  Brush Mower Vibrates

This is a question regarding static versus dynamic balance. I'm not a physics expert - hopefully there are some on this forum. I just bought a 4' brush mower in very nice condition, for only $350. I've run it a few times, and cut a small tract with it. It does do a good job, however, it does...

    High/Low Observation

I don't know how to start a poll (or if I even can start a poll), but I am surprised at how many people use low range, as frequently as they do. I'm wondering why there is such a fear of high range? If the tranny isn't struggling at all, you can limit your speed with that pedal on the right...

Grading  Help? Broken mower blade bolt

While trying to remove the bolt that holds the middle blade, my buddy and broke the bolt. This is the one that threads into the main gearbox shaft, so a simple replacement would prove costly. Has anyone else done this? Were easy-outs successul? Our opinion is that the bolt is mostly likely...

    Water in Hydraulic Fluid

Last weekend I noticed that the dipstick on the tranny of my BX2350 was lying on the 3PT linkage. After murmuring to myself about my dumb luck that it wasn't lost, and wondering how it ended up there in the first place, I went about using the tractor. Then while using it this weekend, it dawned...

    Core Aerator

Folks, I have recently started my search for a core aerator... I know that I should get one, but quite honestly, it's not nearly as fun as searching for a tiller or BB. :( My goal is to first roll my lawn (looks nice, but the very rough ride while mowing tells a different story!), which will...

Oil & Fuel  BX2350 Front Axle Oil

Two weeks ago I changed the front axle oil, and something's been bugging me. The manual calls for a capacity of 5 quarts, and mine only took 4 quarts to fill. Now, I did everything by the book, including breathers, both drains, waiting and then checking again, etc. I even tried manually turning...

    Pictures of Fender Resolution

Just got by BX2350 back from having the fender assembly replaced. I like what Kubota has done with the metal brackets. Looks good, with zero deflection in the platform! The left side bracket is straightforward, as it's just a simple bracket bolted to existing holes on the frame as well as to...
