sa 424 electric noise before start

On my sa424 I get a rythmic clicking/pumping noise when I turn the ignition on or turn it to the heat coils position (before starting the engine). The noise continues until the ignition is turned off or the engine is started. Difficult to describe the noise and it doesn’t seem to affect...

    sa 324 / 424 Potential buyer questions

5 hours on the clock of my new 424, no regrets or buyers remorse at all .. Super happy and feel I made the right choice. Thanks for everyone's input that helped in my decision making. Also really happy I added the mechanical thumb option with the backhoe. Probably an amateur/newbie question...

    sa 324 / 424 Potential buyer questions

I have a 424 TLB being delivered next week.. finally new stock arrived. I discussed with dealer about installing the 3PH lower bar so it would be ready the for the first time I removed the BH to use a 3ph attachment (or at least I wont have to remove a rear wheel). The dealers said they do this...

Thanks Git-R-Done, that's good to know. Still in buying mode - new factor is when the dealers can actually get hold of stock and where I am on the waiting list...

    sa 324 / 424 Potential buyer questions

Thanks for the input. As an update I tried out a 324 last week and it felt solid/planted (alot more so than the older JD I tried out). The dealer had a decent angled slope to run up and down (maybe 20 degrees) and despite my inexperience I felt confident doing so on the Yanmar. This made me feel...

    sa 324 / 424 Potential buyer questions

I have tried a friends JD 2305 ? (10 yr old version of 1025), and am heading to Yanmar Wednesday to hopefully try a sa324 out. I did notice the stick position- looks good and looking forward to trying it. I think 424 has wider tires, so maybe they got it the wrong way around, but thought I’d...

    sa 324 / 424 Potential buyer questions

My head has been spinning on various options for weeks, and looking to take the plunge this week. I've been looking at JD1025R, JD2025R, JD3032E, Kubota 2601, Yanmar sa324/424 - all with loader/backhoe. I seem to be settling on Yanmar.. I have sub 10 acres, mainly landscaping, digging, clearing...
