Works good but will kill trees with roots in the area.

Road privacy shrubs & cutting white pines?

There are chemicals you can apply to the soil as a drench and kill beetles. Leave the trees and plant behind them. imadicloraprid could be one that would work and save the trees if they are not too infested.

    Box Blade Suggestion

Google Broad Based dip. Diverts water, saves gravel, does not bounce your vehicle when driving over it. Ideally it is put in when the road is built, but can be added later with some work.

What can I spray in the woods to control unwanted growth but not harm trees?

Some good and bad advice given on what to spray. 40 years experience with the biggest forestry herbicide companies. Triclopyr products the best for brush and brambles with least damage to the trees you want. Roundup would be next, but there is a small chance of damage to larger trees...

    Diesel today

What are the reasons you think it will get this low. Oil is a world market now, and our prices are some of the cheapest in the world. Hard to see a mechanism for price getting this low.

OEM Tractor Oil vs Shell, Valvoline, Amsoil, etc.

Where is the John Deere or Kubota oil factory located? I think they buy from the same people who make all the other engine oils in the US. If they are rated, they will work.

converting a lightly used dirt road to gravel - how important is it to follow gravel road building best practices?

I have a short road to my barn that gets pickup, small tractor, RV, boat trailers. It is clay soil. Old filed, put down geotextile cloth, 2-3 inches of crusher run, let it sit till rained in. Haven't done a thing to it in ten years.

    decarbonize B&S engine

My log splitter engine recommendations say to decarbonize the engine at 150 hours or so. Is this really necessary? Will it add to engine life and performance. Seems to be running fine, I change all the fluids, filters, and plug.

Massey F GF 2400 tach needle fell off

I guess all the cold weather shaking of my tech needle made it give up the ghost. The needle fell off. Looks like I have to unscrew the whole dash instrument panel from the inside. After that, How do I get inside? Looks like a number of small screws on the back of the green circuit board. Do...
