Problems with salvage tractor. Advice needed.

Be aware the AI is Notorious for "Hallucinating", that is "making **** up", based upon nothing. Several Lawyers have been cited by courts for presenting AI created information that cited non existent decisions and precedents. Yeah "I" think your have a case, but, I'd consult a Lawyer in the...

12 States to ban diesel vehicles

As if any of that relates to what I said. The speed at which something COULD be done means nothing when there are things in the way of doing it. To turn that around, if today's earth moving equipment, etc, where let loose with nothing in the way, maybe those RR's would be done in a couple...

    240 PTO clutch resistance?

Son was mowing, when done told me blades stopped turning on. The PTO switch ohms out OK, but feels a bit flakey. Since it is late, I'm probably not doing much more tonight, such as checking the seat switch or PTO relay but figured to also need the static resistance for the PTO clutch. Anyone...

12 States to ban diesel vehicles

That was, likely, a Federal effort, or with Federal Blessing, at at time when the land was far less populated, and virtually ZERo paved roads, or cars/trucks to use them. California is quite densely populated with a network of existing buildings, roads and people to be dealt with. Despite...

12 States to ban diesel vehicles

Did a quick search and it seems this is a push to ban SALES of NEW vehicles, both Diesel AND Gasoline powered. Did not see anything about a ban on USE of existing vehicles of that type. As single minded as Legislatures can be, I do not think any of them, in their membership Majority at least...

Trailer warning, this could happen to you

That may apply to silicone caulk or "curing" sealants, but not to silicone paste which stays soft. That is used all the time for weather exposed connectors. https://www.amazon.com/3M-08946-Clear-Silicone-Paste/dp/B005RNEH5O

    4n1 bucket, "re-hosing"

That's what I originally daydreamed. Seems thinking things out take longer at 79, one reason I take my time and seek advice more these days. That's my story and I'm sticking with it. Near as I can tell the spool for that valve is rated at about 13 gpm. However, the original line was 1/4 ID...

    4n1 bucket, "re-hosing"

Got a Kubota B21, with a WR Long 50" 4 in 1 bucket. Hose popped last fall in the middle of a task. Capped the lines, disconnected the solenoid and welded small easy to grind off straps to hold it closed. This spring, converted the pin on bucket to SSQA and, if I say so myself, it came out...

Spool valves. Float function vs non Float function.

Further discussion has cleared up the confusion on my part. A different spool and detent are required and apparently not readily available. I'm not sure I need a float anyway, for the Top and Tilt (just the tilt) but some have said it can be useful in some cases for box blade or rake use.

Spool valves. Float function vs non Float function.

That was my original understanding. Still thinking a "float spool" is required.

Spool valves. Float function vs non Float function.

Supplier did not make any claim like that, just my own speculation as to possibility.

Spool valves. Float function vs non Float function.

I'm looking to convert my 2 spool (standard A spools) to latching float on at least one spool. The supplier of my valve has a latching detents available which seems to address that. However, despite discussing it with them, I am getting confused over how that can work, with the same "A" type...

Converting WR Long 4n1 Bucket to SSQA - ready to cut?

Not too late. Had to dig trench for a foundation pour, so put it off, lest I end up with no bucket at all during the dig, pour and back fill. Turns out, one of the worn hoses I was holding off replacing for the 4n1 finally popped, so ended up temporarily welding the jaw shut and installing...
