Ok well, after much procrastination and self doubt I decided to go ahead with purchasing a new Deutz-Fahr Agrofarm 100 GS. Only done a few hours work but so far it is going very nicely and certainly far less tiring for me to operate. Will take a bit of getting used to to get more confident with...
Just a quick "Thumbs Up" for Mahindra Australia and my local dealer for going above and beyond in helping me getting a problem sorted out with my Mahindra 8000 recently. A fairly major job for them to do, showed excellent product support and a big relief to me.
Just for anyone who is interested in this type of DIY thing.
Having bought a second hand ex govt F3680 a couple of months back, been going over the external parts that have significant wear. My place is not a nice flat lawn but more like a cow paddock so the gauge wheels will cop plenty of...
Hi Rip,
I sort of covered what I did about my ram over stroke in the Height adjustment thread, but yeah mine was definitely about 48mm too much travel.
I just thought that my steering knuckles were worn from normal use but is seems more likely that they were assisted by an overshooting steering...
Some great info there thanks Rip,
Interested to hear you are working on such steep slopes with it as 35 Degrees is getting up there. I couldn't find any other tyre choice through Kubota so rather than risk too much out of sync with the tyre diameters I will probably just fit a new set of turf...
Well I didn't fit mine, it came with the machine but as far as I know it is a standard accessory because I see a lot around my part of the world with the same style of thing.
In my case I have a one piece counter weight on the rear of the machine and there is two bolt holes running vertically...
OK I finished them off today and yeah I made sure they were adequately balanced. I set up a jig so that they were all cut at exactly the same length and did the same for drilling the ends so the blade carrying holes were exactly the same distance from the centre bolt.. tested once all...
Having recently purchased a used approximately 5 year old F3680 mower I have been going over it servicing and dealing with some of the wear and tear.
One of the things I found was the steering knuckle bushes to have excessive wear which wasn't so noticeable with the machines weight on the wheels...
The rear counter weight on mine is just what seems to be pretty standard around here on the mowers with 72" decks. Don't know the weight of it at this stage but I am guessing around 40-50KG or around 100lbs. I was thinking too that the cutting action of the blades spinning clockwise if you are...
I will have a go at attaching a photo of the steering knuckle wear. I guess the amount of wear for the machines total hours would depend on how and where the mower was used and maintained. Mine is an ex local government machine which are "supposed" to be serviced properly but I have found plenty...
