If you run a diesel engine too lean, temperatures spike and NOx emissions go through the roof. Just ask Volkswagen. They did that experiment, globally.

Kubota is not a SAINT!! They have made mistakes in their work and I had to pay for it.

Could be you are running lean on fuel. Most any motor will run hot after a bit if it does not get enough fuel.

Great site you all have put together here...and pictures too!! I have had my L48 TLB for 7 years or so, the last 4 I had to come out of retirement and my Kubota tractor kept me from going homeless and save my farm/ranch home!! It was that close. Now 4 years down the rode I have too much work...

I have been told that the Kubota BT1100 backhoe with the quick attach uses a Kx excavator bucket. Does anyone know if this is true and what excavator bucket is interchangable with this? This is on my l48 tlb....a great tractor Thanks, John
