    Field tuff atv disc

here's what my garden looked like before I took the disc to it here's after. The stalks were still kinda wet at the time so they didnt break up too well, but I will disc it again a day before planting to shred 'em

What do you use for cultivating your garden

What does everyone use to work up there garden, and for between rows? I will use an atv disc to work it up the 1st time and to break up corn straw, then rototill to bury it and make it easier for planting. And a hoe for between rows. What do you use?

    My mini seeder

Here's my seeder that I built (partially anyway) Its only about 24" working width, so it won't cover a huge area fast. But I'm gonna use it and hope for the best!:cool2: Thanks for looking!

    Popcorn and sweet corn

This year i want to plant sweet corn and popcorn in the same garden. Can I do this? I've read that if you don't plant them atleast 250' apart "cross-pollination" can be an issue. Is that something i should worry about? I'm not gonna keep my own seed. And my the corn seed i have is supposed to...

    CORN

Heres some more questions i have, What do you recommend for row spacing of corn? Can you seed it close together? (Like through a seed drill, rather than a planter) Or why can't you seed it in narrow rows? Thanks in advance

    Packer/cultipacker idea!

I have an idea for a packer/cultipacker(not sure which it would be), so here it is. Take some small tires like these And put them on an axle, all side by side (maybe about 1/2" spacer between each?) and put a hitch on. (This probably isn't an original idea) The hitch would need a place to set...

    Any suggestions???

Does anyone know of a simple way to make a drill for behind an atv? I'm not looking to go out and buy one, because... Well, the price of them is rediculous... I was hoping there'd be a simple way of doing this. Got any ideas?

    Homebuilt atv plow

This just popped into my head, has anyone built a lil plow for behind your quad? Got pics? What could you use to mimick a plow bottom just smaller? So it'd pull easier, and not cut as deep Could you use spades or something like that? Or do they not dig in

    Plot rotations

I'm in an area where we don't get huge amounts of rain, and I don't need to use fert on what I'm gonna grow if i have it seeded one year, summerfallow the next, then seeded again... And so on. (I'm gonna run this like an "atv sized farm") on summerfallow (it'll have been worked with a disc, so...

    Should I worry???

I'm thinking of buying this disc, its 33" wide and the discs aren't at a very aggressive angle. Should I worry about killing my quad? (Burning off the belt, ENGINE OVERHEATING, etc) How heavy does this disc pull compared to a harrow? (How big of spike tooth harrow pulls about the same as the...

    Seeding with disc?

Here's my spreader. As you can see, it was a push spreader, but I made a hitch for it to pull behind my quad (its not pretty, but it works!!) it's only 2' wide so it won't do many acres fast, but I'll still use it Here is my harrow that I'll be using. It's about 5' wide and I pull it with a...
