    Hydrostatic trans filter base assembly

Hi all, The RK55 has a spin on oil filter for hydrostatic fluid. The spin on adapter for that filter has a one way valve as a bypass in case of a clogged filter (valve is on left hand side of base in pic). The spin-on filter adapter has arrows indicating fluid flow direction. A handyman is...

Need advice on buying best value on small loader/backhoe

Ran into a major problem with the RK55. Was preforming pre-run checks for fluid levels, etc whan I discovered I could not get to the oil dipstick! The dipstick comes out of the engine block at about 75 degrees, then it turns horizontal, parallel to the ground. On top of the dipstick, there is...

Lol. Got it. Just unloaded an hour ago: It took a month for the most of the stuff to come in and get installed. The pallet forks are still on order. Anyone know where to get a good bush hog? RK's bushhog for the RK55 only has a one month warranty. ??

Wasn't my call. I do appreciate the info tho. I've got my fingers crossed. At least we are in the range of a serious machine.

Looks like the family has spoken ..... and they chose an RK55HC. It's a beautiful machine. If it runs as good as it looks we'll be in good shape. Thanks all for the info and recommendations ....

I've had a lot of Toyotas, but I dunno if I want to buy the brand anymore. My last Toyota, a Sienna, the dealer wanted 3K to fix the A/C and wanted 2K to change the water pump. The tech manual for changing the water pump started with "remove engine from body". Not my idea of competent...

Beauty does not get the work done. I've only used 4x4 on the JD once and I don't see doing without as a major problem. Just wish I knew how to access those seasoned deals.....

If I knew how to buy quality used iron, I'd do it in a minute. You could not offer the family enough money to buy the '63 Massey 35 (Perkins diesel). But, we can't afford to buy a very expensive machine and then have unexpected major megabuck repairs. To be honest, I'd much prefer the full...

Got it. Currently we have a 1963 Massey 35 with most farm implements. Runs great. Have a 25 hp John Deere loader/backhoe that simply does not have enough power. It's gotta go. For the backhoe/loader we want now, we are trenching in security cables and power to many parts of the farm. We...

It appears that Rural King has Yanmar motors and advertise advertise "2-year full-machine warranty and an industry leading 8-year powertrain warranty". The Branson may have a Cummins designed Kukje. I've read one older post where sourcing engine parts were a problem but Branson now has a...

Need advice on buying best value on small loader/backhoe

Hi All, My family has a farm in the southeast US. Something less than 100 acres. Family members bought a 3025 John Deere with loader/backhoe but it simply is not big enough (in horsepower) to do the work we need. We were thinking something in the range of 40 to 50 hp, good quality but plain...
