L5030, will not start - SOLVED!

I used it to clear debris around the pond that I dug out with the backhoe. Just brought it up to wash off the mud. Shut it off, had lunch, won't start again. This time it turned out to be the positive cable which used one of those crappy grote connectors (see pic) the bolts loosened and the...

L5030, will not start - SOLVED!

So, I broke down and called Marshal Machinery in Honesdale PA where I buy a lot of my parts. I explained situation in the detail I provided here and they were kind of stumped. They said they'd have a technician call me back. Nick called and I re-explained the situation. He seemed puzzled as I...

I used a jump pack directly onto the lug on the starter, but no luck. Thanks for the thought though.

L5030, will not start - SOLVED!

Hi guys. I used the tractor last week mowing fields and a few days ago I took off the mower and put on a york rake to spread gravel. It worked fine. I shut it off and tried to start a few days ago. I got one click and nothing. Just so you know what it is and what I've tried: 2007 L5030 Hydro...

Definitive list of PTO driven equipment and 3 pt. attachments?

Maybe it's better to just ask which have we found to be most and least useful. I'll start (for my experience) Really Useful: rotary mowers, box blade, stone/york rake Sometimes useful: chipper, rear blade, front blade, tractor mounted backhoe Rarely used: gang discs

    Chipper Advice on PTO Chipper

I bought a Chinese PTO chipper a number of years back 1000lbs, auto-feed, rated for 6" logs. I used it primarily for saplings when clearing land and also for tree branches with leaves. It did a great job with the saplings and was flawless. For larger branches, it did an ok job but the chute...

Removing / unscrewing a broken off pvc male adaptor

I also cut with a hacksaw blade, soften with a propane burner and pick it out. It works.

    mowers.

I just got a 72" Landpride, it does an amazing job vs my old 60" Howse. No welded corners either.

    Electrical / romex mess

Looking at the picture, it's definitely UF and not regular romex.

    Washing an old tractor

I also vote for gunk, a parts brush and a hose. I may be wrong but I always kept mine running while washing the grease and degreaser off.

What size trailer hitch ball on a 16-18' deck trailer?

I have a 2 5/16 ball on mine, I typically carry max weight and wouldn't feel comfortable with a 2 inch but it's got to be one for the other - bring both.

JD Brush Hog: Can’t access bolt to take blades off.

I'm with deserteagle71 - I rarely sharpen my blades. It's a brush hog, not a finish mower. That said, I have 2 sets of blades and switch them out and sharpen the spare at my leisure, but I don't go crazy, I just touch them up with a 4-1/2" grinder. Yes, they do recommend replacing the bolt and...
