now I'm reading about synthetic hydraulic oil. WOW. there is a market for anything. I dont recall seeing too many hydraulic pumps wear out because of the oil, more from running dry but I guess synthetic oil will protect against that too.

got this D2000 offshore tractor, hydraulic pump appears to be on front of engine and has hard plumbing right to gearbox, where I assume the system gets its oil from.
question is::: does this thing have a hydraulic filter anywhere
and: does the gearbox use the same oil as the hydraulic system...
own one of those offshore Mitsubishi 2000's.

I have no idea what year this Mitsubishi tractor is, it belongs to my FIL, but the exhaust manifold broke and I'm hoping I can find one.
