    Broken bolts on front axle

Then it was really stuck lol! That is when I’d break out the torch. Since you have a hole in the shank now the heat will get to the threads better. Also sometimes when working on stuck bolts I’ve found it’s good to stop once in a while, go away and get a sandwich then come back to it. Sometimes...

    Broken bolts on front axle

What people don’t realize is most of the time drilling for the ez out typically produces enough heat to free up the bolt shank without taking a torch to it lol. Good luck!

1988 John Deere Hydro 175 - Engine stalls when I engage the blades

That and the reverse safety switch was what I was thinking.

What can I spray in the woods to control unwanted growth but not harm trees?

We had 2acres of blackberries and got 3 goats. They decimated the blackberries in 1 summer never to return. (The goats are still there munching them back lol!)

What can I spray in the woods to control unwanted growth but not harm trees?

I would avoid the glyphosate at all costs. Proven to cause cancer and there are still civil law suits about that. If your just bush whacking the trails I’d stick to that and let nature do the rest. I have 180ft of river front beyond my lower pasture and the trail is about 100ft and gets o...

Another looking for a flux core MIG welder suggestion thread

I agree with everything WranglerX said however you can get a Hobart Handler 140 (around here at least) lightly used for under $600 with a cart and tank. I bought a similar Miller machine with a cart for $400 and added the tank, regulator and hose for $200. Nice thing about buying used is there...

Tractor hard to start in cold

I didn’t see this mentioned so, after you cleanup the connections use a dielectric grease to prevent/slow corrosion. It is worth the extra couple bucks. I’d also get the batteries load tested and find out CCA. My guess is they aren’t rated for much in low temps or they’re at the end of their...

    Compacting gravel driveway

I’m 40 min North by Northeast near Granite Falls, out far enough to get away from most of the traffic but still close to shopping etc.

    Compacting gravel driveway

I let people believe that and while it is partially true I believe it rains just enough!

    Compacting gravel driveway

That’s weird. Here in Western Washington we pay by the yard!

Comparison Buying my first sub compact tractor need help deciding.

Agree with all Eric said and want to add that the FEL can also help you get unstuck.

Do You Have a Tractor Shed/Barn?

When I had boats I got a Costco 24x12 “tent” structure and had to replace the canvas on it twice. The second year after I last replaced it I decided to use the “bones” and frame it out and clad with metal. Then I used plywood inside on the walls to shore it up or as shear walls. Also good to...

1 tractor rest of forever -- what brand?

I disagree with your size analogy. That also depends on what model Kubota and could be any of the smaller and newer brand tractors. I have a Kubota B2150, I’m 6ft and 250lbs. I don’t have the seat set all the way back and it is perfectly comfortable for me. When I was shopping (used) I wanted...

Is a subcompact under 25hp enough power?

I have just under 3 acres and a Kubota B2150 which is 24hp. In my opinion it is just enough for my needs but if I had 10 acres or more I’d be looking to trade up for a larger tractor at least 35hp and if I was at 25 acres it would be 50hp or more.
