    Tractors and (upcoming) tariffs?

Yes, but THEY were MORE dependent on our petroleum products overall than they were on ours. Not entirely correct. The most valuable products are very easily refined from light sweet crude. The reason U.S. light crude refineries were CONVERTED to heavy crude 50-60 years ago was because heavy oil...

    Tractors and (upcoming) tariffs?

I can't read it for you:

    Tractors and (upcoming) tariffs?

Partially true. Most of the oil we produce is favorable for refining, but we have spent years importing inferior oil and have adjusted our refineries accordingly. With a consistent change the refineries will retool. (The cost of that is miniscule in the grand scheme of things, but it does...

    Tractors and (upcoming) tariffs?

In the "check sources" category I would advise checking the above mentioned "Media Bias Report", as they are significantly biased themselves. Their ratings consistently ignore the factual errors committed by some of their "reliable" choices as they have been exposed over the years. The...

    Tractors and (upcoming) tariffs?

In 2019, U.S. energy production exceeded consumption for the first time in 62 years

    Tractors and (upcoming) tariffs?

There seems to be some confusion (at least in the early days of this thread - I only showed up today and haven't read to the end) on the difference between "inflation" and "consumer prices". This confusion has become common, probably due to it's propagation by the government and the media...

    Solved: Branson power steering connections

Have forgotten which connections go where on the power steering valve. Connections are labeled P T L R. L and R are obvious. Is P for pressure? What the heck does T mean? If it were S or D I would be more confident. The T connections comes out of the center.

(Resolved) Branson 2400 diff lock pedal assembly

Never mind! After further work I figured out the rod is slightly angled. I figured if I posted it might solve itself.

(Resolved) Branson 2400 diff lock pedal assembly

Broke this tractor down to replace a broken gear in the manual gearbox. Unfortunately I didn't take many photos since the manual appeared to have photos at every step. Oops... the photos showing the differential lock pedal connections are of a 2510, and I can't seem to make it match up. The rod...

    Drivetrain clacking and locking up

Thanks for that. That is what I ended up doing. (Actually OSB siding.) Broken gear on the main gearbox input shaft.

    Drivetrain clacking and locking up

This looks like a formidable task, especially for someone with no available concrete. May have to haul it 150 miles to the nearest dealer.

    Drivetrain clacking and locking up

Is it possible to uncouple the propeller shaft without separating the tractor? It has metal covers over the couplings which are pinned to the shaft. I've removed the pins but haven't been able to slide the covers back to expose the couplings. Should they just slide back up the shaft? Not sure...

    Drivetrain clacking and locking up

oldnslo: It's the shaft from the clutch to the trans. The gears seem to shift and work solidly. The lockups occur regardless of gear selection, including neutral. bigtiller: The problem here is the shaft is transmitting the sound so well I'm not sure I could identify it with a stethoscope...

    Drivetrain clacking and locking up

That was going to be my next step. (Just waiting for the temperature to drop.)
