    First electric tractor ride

The internal combustion engine is doomed. Electric is the only way forward. I think it's a fantastic idea.

Today, would you buy an EV vehicle.

When they come down in price (and they will) then absolutely I would buy one. Most of my travel is to the nearest town, about 10 miles away. I am also considering a solar installation. Being immune to gas price hikes has great appeal to me.

Terrified of tipping - how about an inclinometer?

As per what joecdeere alluded to, maybe the best solution is a ROPS.

Need to wage war on mice / rats

I keep a small armada of Victor traps near all the openings in my barn, baited with salami. I make a habit of checking them every morning. At first there are a lot but soon it's a rare occurrence to catch a mouse.

And having a milling machine opens up a whole new world in metal working, especially if it has a DRO. If it's a three phase machine you can get a single phase variable speed drive for it and...

Buying Advice End Loader, Backhoe, or ???

You know, I don't think I have ever been on a more hateful forum than this one. Some of you guys are really over the top. 17 acres of scrap? Never helping a neighbor, church member or relative? Not knowing what a loader can and can’t do? Wow. Just wow. But back to my original issue, I found...

Buying Advice  End Loader, Backhoe, or ???

Folks - I am trying to decide what type of machine to get, I've got about $5K to spend. We own 17 acres of mostly woods, and I would like to clear a little more of it. I also need a machine that can lift heavy objects (old milling machines, lathes, boulders, etc.) from time to time. One that...
