Ran fine and mowed one day, next day, started up fine but when clutch was released to go forward or backward, the engine dies. Tried rocking it, tried releasing clutch a bit...and would go forward or backward a tad, then die. Put clutch back in and it will recover. What's up? Please help.

Had a broken fuel filter housing for my Kubota L2800, replaced the housing assembly, hooked up the three hoses with clamps, all seemed fine until tried to start. Engine turns over but won't start. Filled tank half full of fuel...still won't start. Any ideas?
