Re: [SOLVED] Strange Behavior After Draining Fuel Tank Because Of Water [VIDEO]
Thanks Dave!
I just went and looked in the tank. There aren't any tubes in the tank that go down to the bottom. Just a little bump with a hole in it. Walls were smooth and didn't look to be any molded in...
Re: [SOLVED] Strange Behavior After Draining Fuel Tank Because Of Water [VIDEO]
Here is the diagram. Definitely not related to injector return. The injector return runs into a separate input to the top of the tank. Filter return simply returns straight back to its own connection to the top...
Nobody interested?
Anyway, here is a diagram fi the fuel system:
You can see that the fuel filter is on the suction side of the pump. Looks like mounting the Racor is a matter if fabricating a new mounting bracket to replace the existing on (part 90).
Looks like the Racor 120 AS is...
OK. So my L3400's fuel tank probably got some water in it from my fuel drum. I always use a water separating filter funnel and this is why I noticed it but I think the funnel filter has a leak in it and let some water through. The tractor has never done anything except start and run...
[FYI: I searched the forums and found several threads about installing Racor water separators, but none on replacing existing fuel filter housing with a Racor.]
So, I got some water in my tank and had to drain it and tractor still isn't running 100% (will post the issue in a separate thread)...
Just bought a used Kubota L3400, 360 hrs, FEL w/QA bucket, R4's. Nice machine.
Was wanting to fill the tires but when checking the tire pressure, found them to be already filled!
Problem is, I don't know what they are filled with or if they are tubed. I think now-a-days the tractor...
Kubota Runs!
After some foibles about not ordering hoses and some of the gaskets, I have it back together and it runs very well. Rebuilt head, rebuilt injectors, valve job, valve clearance adjusted, new hoses, gaskets and belts. New Rotella T 15w40 (?) and new ~ 50/50 Rotella ELC/distilled...
I don't think it was leaking fuel. Seems like I would have noticed that as much as I have had the hood open while it was running.
OK. Work with me for a sec:
So if you add shims to adjust the injection timing, then the whole Delivery Valve Holder (part 1) will move up because the Delivery...
OK I think I found that HERE. He said:
"My B2150 did the same thing when new. After replacing the rad, fan, etc. I decided the problem was somewhere else. I found it. Injection timing!! Advanced the timing and it starts and runs better along with cooler running. If you don't know how ,get a...
OK. Got the head off the Kubota mower and the Yanmar tractor. Mower head at machine shop being pressure tested and resurfaced. Should be ready today and I'll take them the Yanmar head when I pick it up.
I DID NOT see anything that I could discern as leakage on either head gasket. On the...
Here's what the water pump impeller looks like. HERE is a video of it.
I don't see a problem but I don't know what it's supposed to look like. Didn't see any pictures of the impeller online.
[I'm definitely not an experienced mechanic, but I have changed a head gasket before, but that was a LONG time ago. Remind me of any gatchas?]
My Kubota G5200 HST (3 cyl diesel mower) is overheating. Seems like a common problem. Only seems to overheats under load.
Anyway, I DID see air...
It works! :cool2:
The boys got it back together and ran the deck on low speed for a while. Some of the spindles got pretty hot at first, and some leaked out some grease -- several tablespoons on the center one. But after mowing for a while everything turned much easier and the spindles ran...
Here are some pics and a description of the deck restoration. I've never done anything like this before, but I was inspired by the various posts on this forum and others (especially the guy that had to weld in patches for about 1/3 of the deck). Seeing what others had done helped A LOT. So...
I'm restoring the RC44-G deck on my G5200. I think the middle spindle got loose and caused the shaft to wobble which killed the keyway on the shaft and the pulley. Gearbox seems OK. Got new parts. While apart, I am changing all the spindle bearings. But then I just decoded to paint it and...
