Tractor is back in service. It is clearly moving oil and sounds ok, but oil light stays on. Other than a full engine rebuild i can't think of anything else to try. Already put a few hours on it.
Getting close to having it back together a second time. I installed the new oil bypass spring . I don't think that was it. Nearly identical in compression force to old one
No.
I am not confused. I checked with TSC. I also emailed my ExxonMobil rep through work. This is stuff I actually do for a living unlike most of the retired keyboard warriors on here. 30 years in industrial maintenance and engineering. ExxonMobil confirmed mobilfluid 424 and Delvac are the...
Gl4 is a specification for oils used in transmissions ad all tractor hydraulic oil is. It is generally required for synchromesh and hst compact tractors
No. It was mean spirited and bitter. Not everyone has the same amount of disposable income you and I do. Sometimes it is necessary to be frugal. My dealer literally told me as long as the oil says it meets the standard in my manual the manufacturer doesn't care what brand. Hydraulic Oil...
Its probably just behind the oil filter under a cover held on with a single bolt. You will likely need to pull the whole gearcase cover to check/change it.

I bought a 474 in June as well. Currently shopping for oils for my 50hr change. Having trouble finding a hydraulic oil i like locally. Bought the full filter kit from my dealer and found the same kit online for half the price from dealer in Colorado. Shop around before you buy
Found the daedong engine shop manual online. 7psi is the minimum pressure to turn off the light. Also Found the location of the relief valve. Under a cover next to oil filter. I am going to try to get that cover off without removing the gear cover again
Your engine is similar to my daedong 4a200 in my mahindra. Did you find anything? I am going to take the filter housing off in the next couple days to try to find mine. I have started a separate thread for mine
