Thanks Big, sorry if I sound like a novice but how do you jump the contacts in the connector? Is the connector the switch under the shift lever cover or the electrical connection above?

I have a 1970 Ford 3000. When I put the hi lo gear lever in neutral the engine does not start. But if I wiggle it back and forth the starter kicks in intermittently. I have to move the lever into just the right position to engage the starter. Do you think it is a faulty switch or something else...

Can anyone please advise what the pin is under the gear box. I have had a few drops leaking from it - not sure if it is water or oil?

Both were leaking and I have now fixed them replacing seal and gaskets. Thanks anyway.

Oil is leaking from the shaft and there is a lot of play in the lever/shaft. What parts do I need to replace?
