    BX24 slow steering

Searched but didn't see a hit for this; I've noticed as of late at times the steering on my BX24 seems a little slow - as in I can turn the wheel a rotation at times before the steering reacts. I typically don't operate the tractor at full rpm unless I'm mowing with it. Anyone else experience...

    BX24 stump killer!

Pulled this stump out back in November. This machine never ceases to amaze me, and this stump really proved it. The stump is so large and so heavy I had to tip it on it's side and roll it out of the hole, as the BX just did not have the pulling power to drag it out. Once it was on the grass I...

    New warranty BX seat!

Picked it up from the dealer this morning, just installed. All I can say is WOW and thank you Kubota for doing this. It is a night and day differance over the old seat; back and leg support are great. If you have a BX24 get one while you can!

It pays to read the owners manual....

because chances are you won't use the wrong type of grease on your loader and backhoe pins, and won't have spent 2 hours in the garage tonight removing and cleaning every loader pin in prep for the proper grease because you're kind of **** that way. Not that I would know anything about that.

    BX24 - 54" deck - mulch kit install (pics)

Thought I would post this for anyone thinking about getting this. Picked up the kit at the dealer yesterday. Apparently this is the first one he's sold for the 54" deck with the new design. I didn't know it at the time I bought my tractor but apparently this deck was new for 2006. There...

    BX24 projects to date

It's been just 8 months now since the purchase of the 24 and much has been done. I don't know what we would have done without this little machine, it's been a huge time saver. The attached photos show the 75' by 75' 'deer pen' the owner had built years ago as it looked in the fall, and now as...

New seats for the BX - warranty item?

Found out from my dealer tonight that Kubota is issuing a bunch of replacement seats for the not so hot BX24's current setup. Apparently he has to place a lump sum order and it's a one time only bulk deal, at least how it was explained to me. So, for $20 and my old seat, I can get the new one...

Grading  Box blade for the BX24?

Anyone recommend a size? I have a large section of our property to clear and level, and I'm thinking the box blade is the best bet. I didn't realize how lumpy it was until tonight...it was previously used as a deer pen by the previous owner for the last 10 years or so. The soil is fairly hard...

    Gator blade for 54P deck?

I bought gator blades for my 54" P deck after reading about them here, and low and behold they don't fit the deck. I looked at the bushing option talked about in other threads, which is fine for the inside diameter of the blade, but 7/8" is to large for the outside diameter of the spindle and...

    BX24 Backhoe = post hole digger :)

We uprooted and moved a split rail fence that was previously installed directly behind our house. My father in law and I spent all day yesterday 're-planting' the fence to d-mark our property along the one corner. I still have another 100 to 120 feet or so to run along the woodline in the back...

Backhoe  PHD vs. backhoe on BX24

I will be putting in some split rail fence in the next few weeks, about 150-200 feet worth. Am I better off renting a PHD or just using the BH? I can rent a 3pt locally for $79 for the weekend. Realistically, how long would it take to do with the PHD? Since it's split rail I need to put up...

Snow  BX snow thrower vs loader?

OK, I've seen many people talk about buying the snow throwers for the BX's. Tonight I cleared our driveway with the loader and I found it no worse then my old 48" snow thrower on my old Toro tractor. I actually liked the ability to be able to pile snow where I wanted. Based on the size of our...

This is how I used to remove snow...

It's funny to look back on now, considering I went from a Toro lawn tractor to the BX24. But here is how I used to remove snow 5 years ago: MTD snowthrower to tractor conversion It makes me laugh to see what I went through then, and of course now with the BX life is so much easier. That...

    You know what's funny

There is a John Deere ad staring at me on the right side of this forum. On top of that, there is John Deere dealer 2 miles up the road from me. ...and yet I still bought a BX24 from a dealer 20 miles away :D

Oil & Fuel  BX24 fuel gauge?

Is it just my BX24 or do others have a tendancy to read full for awhile, then the gauge rapidly starts to go down? Reminds me of my wife's old car, it did the same thing. Makes me think it's not calibrated properly.
