I’ve got my dad’s old 1973 820, and he installed a lower radiator hose heater when he bought it new. I plug it in 1/2 hr before using it and she fires right up. Even at zero or below temps.
I buy the spray also. I’ll take off the air cleaner and spray the carb and let it sit for a couple of hours. A litle bit in the gas and it really cleans it up and runs good. A guy gave me a husky leaf blower and the gas was NASTY bad. You could see the dried oil in the tank. Poured in sea foam...
The original switch pushes in to start the glow plugs and push button below to start. Only turns for the different light functions. Looks like a resistor on the back of it also. Never saw that before on a switch. I'll post a pic when I take it out again. Thanks for the replies!
Hi, I've got a '72 JD 820 and bought the recommended replacement switch #al19890. Does anybody have a diagram for hooking this switch up? I can't figure out which wire goes where. It didn't come with any directions. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks
