    Kubota L 3400 safety switches

I'm just measuring the pto switches, disconnected from everything.. They are both always closed.. which obviously is not correct. Have not investigated the 3 pos seat switch yet but just printed out the test from the shop manual. But they are related as you say so if the 2 pto switches are not...

    Kubota L 3400 safety switches

https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1467550/Kubota-L2800.html?page=353&term=pto+switch&selected=2#manual Looks like they should both be open engaged or both closed when neutral.

    Kubota L 3400 safety switches

Well quick check today.. There are 2 switches at the PTO, not sure why or where the 2nd one goes to but I see 2 connectors. Unplugged them and checked with a meter. Regardless of PTO lever position they are both closed always. Have not investigated if it is how it is adjusted or how the metal...

    Kubota L 3400 safety switches

Thanks. I was hoping someone had a schematic or more details of the specific system. Perhaps there is a logic board involved or something else beyond just the switches.

    Kubota L 3400 safety switches

The tractor stays running with the seat in any position and the tractor in gear, no brake set and pto on or off. My manual indicates that it shouldn't crank with the pto engaged and the clutch in. It also indicates that if pto is on and you leave the seat it should stop

    Kubota L 3400 safety switches

Hello All, I am selling my 2008 L3400hst and am trying to make sure all the safety switches work first. Several of them have never worked from the day I bought it used from the dealer. Here is what I have tested so far. Clutch switch - will not start unless clutch is in. Good. HST pedal switch...

    Small calcium leaks in tire??

Hi Guys, My L series has Industrial type tires with a ton of life left on them. They are calcium filled. Lately I have noticed at least 1 or 2 small wet spots in the low areas between the treads on one of the tires. It does not appear lower than the other tire at all and the spot is usually the...

    backhoe attachment seat!?

I have a bradco frame mounted backhoe attachment. The seat has no springs at all and is just on a post.. After using it for a short while my back kills me.. Has anybody upgraded the seat? I am sure much of my issue is operator error while trying to remove small stumps.. I tend to jerk the entire...

box scraper size/weight..... small blade on larger tractor...

I have a L3400 34hp, hst, 4wd.. Someone has offered me a small box scraper which is only rated for 25hp tractors at a very attractive price. I told them it was too small for my tractor but keep debating in my head if I should get it anyways? My main use is clearing forest and trying to reclaim...

L3400 suspension seat and sore back

My L3400 seems to have a suspension seat but it does not move at all. I have tried prying under it, I have tried jumping up and down on the frame, it doesn't move the slightest. I have loosened the tension knob all the way.. no movement.. Is there a trick to this??

Changing a Kubota Hydraulic hose - aux bypass

Ok I changed it and it was pretty uneventful.. New hose cost a lot more than I expected but they made it while I waited.. Was $81 for that hose.. Each end was about $30 plus $15 for the hose itself. He said it was because they are 90s and straight would have been much cheaper. In hindsight I...

Changing a Kubota Hydraulic hose - aux bypass

My Kubota L3400 has a bypass/loop hose on the back aux.. When the backhoe is hooked up the backhoe plugs into the male aux outlet and the bypass hose is just capped off, but when the backhoe is not hooked up this bypass hose needs to plug in to the male fitting on the tractor. The hose has hit...

    Hydraulic Line Help Please

My feeling now is that I am not getting these hoses on all the way. They are on enough to not fly off and for fluid to pass but not to make a good seal. I notice a shiny area that is exposed when I have the couplers connected. I look at my loader couplers and there is no such space. I also...

    Hydraulic Line Help Please

Thanks for the info. So I should be able to just remove those quick connects from my hoses and put new ones on? I originally was thinking they were the ends of the hose but it makes sense that the hose has a threaded end and these are attached to it. Here are photos of my ends that both seem to...
