See attached photos. Guess I have the wrong grill.

I'm restoring a C and purchased a used grill in really good condition but the lower section doesn't seem to fit well with the steering bolster casting. the grill face isn't vertical when viewed from the side. Do these lower sections have to be custom trimmed?

Can anyone tell me what the thread size is for the front spindle? I know it is a fine thread....
