Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

Should get a pic of mine. I mounted one of those on the back of my ATV for hauling deer out of the woods. As I aged, I found it harder and harder to pull a fair sized doe ,or even worse a nice buck, up onto the front of my 4 wheeler. This cargo carrier sits low enough to make that chore a little...

    Trailer TPMS

I used the TST507's for most of the time I had my motor home. Changed the batteries every year and they were trouble free.

Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

3581942,3581943 Bought this a few months ago. Assembly was straight forward and seems to be as sturdy as advertised. I cobbled together a little support post for when it is fully raised, just because I'm an overly cautious sort. I don't think this one falls into the "Suck" category. Sorry. I...

Anyone else have an unusually large number of hummingbirds this year?

Well, we are nearly the other side of the country from you, but we also have noticed a significantly fewer number of hummers this year. Maybe it's just an off year for hummingbirds.

    Colloquialisms

I had a buddy in the USAF that asked a girl at a bar "Do you come here right smart?" She looked at him like he was crazy. It was all I could do to keep from laughing at them. I understood it since I grew up a redneck with lots of southern relatives from all over the south. He meant "Do you...

    Strange things your pets do...

Our dog, Toby, howls when the phone rings. He usually doesn't stop for a couple seconds after we answer it. You can imagine what the caller thinks when we say Hello and he's howling in the background.

Owning a small tractor is a blessing.

The pics I promised. The support I fabbed with scrap pieces. The support in place. And the pins that I really didn't want to rely on.

Rotary Cutter Bush hog Model 2[emoji[emoji6[emoji640]2][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji6[emoji640]2] Deck Repair

I've cut 1/8th plate with a reciprocating saw, with metal cutting blade. Angle grinders can be quite useful as well. Otherwise, find a shop with a cutting torch.

Owning a small tractor is a blessing.

I have that same mower lift and decided after assembling it that those locking pins just weren't enought to make me feel comfortable working underneath it. I threw together a support to put in place when the lift was up at it's highest, the only position I would normally work under it, and now I...

    Starting an OLD Snapper

I've just acquired an old Snapper rear engine riding mower, model# 30085. It is appx 25 - 30 years old, and has not been cranked in probably 10+ years. It was stored inside, dry, but not prepped for storage. My question is about starting the 8 hp B&S engine for the first time after this long...

    Another newbie

I'm new to TBN, but it seems to have plenty of the kind of tractor information that I could find helpful. I have a Yanmar 2210BD with FEL. I probably under-utilize it, but it sure comes in handy for snow removal and maintaining my gravel driveway. I have an old rotary mower for keeping the...
