Great find and nice presentation. It's really nice when you start digging and expect to find it broken,But it's all in one piece after all these years!
I would certainly want to have something to protect the lines. Maybe it can be added without much trouble now.

You may want to consider adding the filter. Most of the hydraulic components are pretty pricey. Some are hard to locate replacements for, and some are in places that only a 4 year old can get to..
