I went by my Grandfather's advice, buy as much HP and you can afford..... I did and at almost 70 I'm glad I listened. I purchased a Branson 4720h for our place. Even w/47hp there have been a couple of times when i could have used a few more horses. :) Not the tractor's fault, just too big a...
My grandfather always said buy as much horsepower you can get - you can't get too much!
I was buying a 35hp, went to a 47hp and forwent one implement so I could buy 10hp more. It has paid off on more than one occasion! And even at 47hp I have called on a neighbor with a 55hp to give me...
I don't see how.... So I've attached a drawing of how I see this working....excuse the crudeness of the drawing....
The hoses to the cylinder are color coded.... I swapped the curb and dump lines (blue and yellow) at the valve. In one config curb does not work but dump does. In the other...
Good Afternoon All -
Another sticky wicket here....
I broke my front loader yesterday lifting out a stump with my Branson 4720H w/a BL25R FEL. I did this while lifting out a huge stump, then there was an unmistakable metallic 'clang'. I am not sure where the noise came from as...

Back here again looking for answers. :)
I have the Branson BH86 backhoe (Ansung BH860 - 2016 edition). I have the Branson thumb kit on the backhoe. The longer pin that connects the thumb and bucket pivot together got bent during one of my stump removal days.... It...
Back to the forum I come.....
This is a new one for me...right now the tach on my Branson 4720h is sitting at 600rpm with the key off.... Of course as soon as I start it it goes to about 1200 rpm. If you subtract the 'at rest 600rpm' then the reading is about right at about 600rpm...
Has...
Afternoon everyone!!
I'm looking for the Ansung 860 / Branson BH86 backhoe spool nut/bolt torque specification.
I was just ready to tear my factory spool assembly apart to install another spool for a hydraulic thumb when I realized I didn't have the torque spec to put it back together!!
If...
Morning All -
This question is in regards to an Asung BH860 or what Branson calls a BH86.
The backhoe works in all respects..... I am looking for a possible way to slow down the boom downward motion. Currently if you push the valve in to pushing the boom down it drops VERY fast...
Here's a pic or two of the new bucket.
You can see where they welded a piece of cutting edge on to the bucket and then welded the 'frogs' on to that and the bucket. The teeth are $8 each and I can tell you from using it that they work much better than the original teeth and bucket. Where is...
Branson BH86 Bucket replacement candidate - need a better built bucket. I've gone through two buckets and 10-12 bucket teeth. I've only been digging out stumps, not too many rocks at present but I am sure there will be more.
The issue as I see it is that the bucket itself is not robust enough...
