M59 Help: Dealer Wants $6K to Replace the Wiring Harness

I just printed out the circuit on an A3 size sheet (for clarity) to see what the link was with the clutch pedal blowing that fuse when pressed. I'm not a sparkie, but comparing what needs to happen in my Kioti, I'm assuming: The 'Key Switch' sends power via a 5amp fuse to: the PTO switch, the...

M59 Help: Dealer Wants $6K to Replace the Wiring Harness

This might be totally irrelevant, however, for what it's worth: A mate's Vermeer SkidSteer working on our place, suddenly wouldn't start. After much probing and part-dismantling to get at the fuse next to the starter motor, we had a closer look at the accessible 4-fuse block next to the...

    Tn75s air conditioning relay

The above was in answer to the question: "Are you sure the evaporator and condensor are clean and clear? Can you see light through them?" In the case of the AC in my Kioti being annoyingly erratic - producing nice cold air one day, then no cooling at all the next (or even the same afternoon) -...

    Home weather station suggestions

We had a Davis Vantage Vue which started acting erratically reporting rainfall. Checked the battery, the funnel for blockages, the inside for spiders, phoned the Australian reps, but all to no avail. Rather than pack it up and send it to them for examination and possible repair, I just bought a...

Of course, all you need is for one of the links to be readily adjustable, in order to get the differential height you're after. But yes, both links are adjustable.

Security camera vision - any ideas?

Thanks guys, for your thoughts. For the money (around AU$100, from China) it's a nice bit of kit, with it's motion sensor activation and bluetooth and wifi connectivity to interrogate it's captured videos from your phone, also the pv recharging panel to keep it's battery alive. But in the months...

Security camera vision - any ideas?

Captured this vision from one of our security cameras (aka trail-cams) the other morning. The steady bright streak at the top right is a twig from an overhanging branch, and lit up by the IR lights. Note that is not moving at all, which indicates it was a still calm morning. So what are we seeing?

    Any mathmeticians here

Good brain food, this! Bearing in mind for this theoretical exercise, we're limited by hose lengths of 100 feet. The OP's proposition was to install spigots on the corners and only around the perimeter. But - ignoring the corner spigots for the moment, and instead placing a spigot mid-position...

    Any mathmeticians here

Spot on! I just had to draw it for myself to get my head around it. :) And no, it's not symmetrical, but then it's just an exercise in geometry, and probably not a practical solution anyway:

    Any mathmeticians here

Looking at this as a purely mathematical exercise: EDIT -- (next morning) Now rested and sober, I can see flaws in my argument! I'll ponder it over a coffee...

sawzall blade extension? need to cut 6ft down inside of 5" PVC fence post.

I think the inertia of a 6' extension would overcome the ability of a sawzall to function. Unless it were very light (aluminium?) but then you'd have issues with fastening the blade to it, and then flexing too much to be effective. Hot wire maybe? Somehow...

    Intermittent air conditioning failure

Well, no - it was a paid job, although he is a good mate. We're both in the same home-brew club, so no need to "pay with beer" - we're both awash with that! However he recently split the scene from his previous small mum-and-dad employer, and decided to make it on his own. So his time is money...

    Intermittent air conditioning failure

UPDATE: When I first "lifted the lid" of the cabin to reveal the wiring plugs & sockets, relay, aircon ducting, blower, etc, there was much more dust on everything than I expected. Strange, because I've had the four air filters replaced regularly. Then I noticed the foam sealing strip which runs...
