Thanks for your thoughts guys. Recently had both bucket tilt cylinders serviced because of leaks. My mechanic thought seals showed signs of heat damage. Age could also be a factor. I will check oil temp with IR gun. I think I read where 140 degrees would be an upper limit.
Ford N/H 1215 compact, 4wd, 7106 loader. Has anyone had a problem with excessively hot hydraulic oil? Is there a heat exchanger that would work with this model?
Ford/NH 1215 has white wispy smoke in exhaust when under a load. The exhaust has a very strong oder. Engine sounds good with no noticeable loss of power. Oil level remains constant. No loss of coolant. I know I should have a compression test done but wanted to educate myself a little before...
Thanks for your response. I should have mentioned that I bought a new water pump also. The new pump does not provide a full shoulder for the thermostat to seat on. Some coolant will leak by when thermostat is closed. Does it matter?
