'M trying to find parts for my mowing deck and a search of the JD site with my serial number didn't turn up anything. Is there a way I can trace my serial number to find out what it may have evolved into or is there another way I can search for parts. IMHO the JD parts site is a pain in the arse!

Do most of you perform your own 50 hour service? My dealer made it sound that way. I wondered how many perform this service and if so at what point (hours) do you have the dealer take care of the service?

I have to trim a couple of inches off the PTOthat came with my Herd spreader. I've never had to do that and loking for advice and/or suggestions. I want to get it right the first time. I assume the tool of choice is a hacksaw?

I'm adding a couple of lube fittings to the front brackets on my JD 62 D mowing deck. I have the fitting, part #JD7844 but I can't find the size, I want to get the tap right, can anyone pont me in the right direction? Appreciate the help.
