Main PTO-Possible to switch direction of flow and flow rate?

a good solution and suggested by Pony also. I didnt want to spend any more money on hoses at this time. I wanted to make it work with the electrical hydraulic solenoid switch that came with it. Appreciate your feedback and thoughts on the heat and other suggestions!

Main PTO-Possible to switch direction of flow and flow rate?

Agreed the hydraulics seem to run hot. However a flow direction valve would not increase heat significantly IMHO. The switch would be from off-to a direction of flow-which is what is happening now. Restricting the flow to the larger PTO hoses to slow down an implement and would add significant...

Main PTO-Possible to switch direction of flow and flow rate?

My PT1460 has a switch on the dash to turn the Main PTO flow on and off. That is the extent of my control. Whatever direction the flow is in "is what it is". Has anyone made up a 3 way switch that would allow for flow in one direction when switch is in up direction, then no flow when switch is...

    Snufulupagus For The Win!

The boom pole goes out to about 25 feet. There is a main section, a hydraulic telescoping section and another final section that gets you to the approx. 25 total feet. My garage is either going to be 12 or 14 foot walls with about another 8 inches of block to the final concrete? Have not...

    Snufulupagus For The Win!

Workign great with my PT to SSQA adapter plate. Going to frame up the walls and trusses for my garage as soon as the concrete is complete. Getting some very high prices for the garage construction. Can easily do the walls and trusses with this attachment.

Quick Attach Lever (Smaller Hoses )Pressure and Flow Rates

When I flip the PTO switch on my PT1460 the specs on the PTO (large hydraulic hoses is 3K psi and 18 gallons per minute flow rate). What if I want to use the quick attach (small hoses) for something? What is the PSI and flow rate on those smaller hoses? I use the small hoses for my grapple...

New sickle bar attachment and wiring

Just bought a sickle bar attachment for my PT1460. Need to tame the brush coming in from the sides of my driveway. The attachment comes with a 12V electric switch that operates a hydraulic valve that diverts the hydraulic flow from the sickle bar cutter motor to the lifting cylinder. This way...

    Power Trac in Western NC?

All issues diagnosed/resolved over phone with Terry at PT factory and parts sent directly to me. Very reasonable costs for the parts. Sent a cylinder to them to rebuild and they had it rebuilt and back to me ASAP. Have to say they are good people and my machine has done alot of work for me. Paid...

    Power Trac in Western NC?

Saw this post and though you might find it interesting. https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/threads/pt-1845-pt-1850.57040/ When I got my PT1460, I went to the factory (about 5 hours drive also). They let me drive several machines and use them on their rock pile to get a feel for them. Decision...

    1845 problem

. ***yes to above*** You started this post with a mouse nest in the engine bay. I bet they also chewed up some wire insulation somewhere and you are having an intermittent electrical issue. Sorry, I have been there also. Locate all grounds and clean/check those wires first. Then go from the...

New Style Stump Grinder Wheel Is Home

Been using an old grinder wheel (teeth welded on) and the carbide inserts were broken off most of the teeth. Needless to say the old wheel wasnt grinding at all. These new style wheels have the teeth bolted on so the end user can replace them as the inserts get worn. If you have an old style...
