    Kubota TG1860 idler tension

Took the mower off the tractor last fall to mount the quick-hitch and snowblower. Noticed then that the idler pulley arm seemed really loose, so snugged it up since it wouldn't be needed for the snowblower (different belt). The instructions also called for removing the tractor's "original belt...

    TG1860 snowblower

Thanks for the lead. Read through the thread and saw that many people have similar problems figuring out how it goes. The directions in the manual aren't overly clear and not everyone seems sure they have all the parts they need. The different versions are also confusing. Pictures posted in the...

    TG1860 snowblower

Have the quick-hitch and blower, along with the manual for the blower. Have found some diagrams (thank you Messick's and Coleman Equipment) that show the arrangement of the TG2739A quick hitch and can guess as to how it has to go under the tractor. There do not seem to be any manuals or diagrams...

    Subcompact Kubota search

Thank you all for your advice. I found and bought a KubotaTG1860 diesel with less than 600 hours on it that came with a snowblower and 54" deck. A BX or B would have been more versatile, but about five times what I paid. I know Yanmar is reliable from the engine in our 1981 boat, but there...

    Subcompact Kubota search

Have been doing it with Simplicity Sovereigns for about 30 years, and Gravely walk-behinds before that. Have you ever had a snowblower clog ten times in fifteen minutes of running time? (That doesn't include the ten minutes it takes to stop, clear each clog, and restart, or the wet, frozen...

    Subcompact Kubota search

Shows how well I know what's what. I thought the BX replaced the B series, but you are obviously right. The B's I'm seeing for sale in my price range are older, and the BX models are newer simply because they came out more recently.

    Subcompact Kubota search

My 54 year-old Simplicity Sovereign is getting balky so I am looking for a sturdy replacement. My brother has had good results with Kubotas so I am looking for a used subcompact for mowing and snowplowing. The snow we get is wet and heavy, so snowblowers are often problematic. The land is flat...
