I have 3 John Deere 850,s. 2 or 3 yrs back I took the loader off one tractor and installed it on another one. When I transfered everything the loader would not work. I had forgot to transfer the headless plug. Once I did that everything worked perfectly.
I don't know the 870 but on the 850 you can pull the pin and take the tension off the spring pack the collar with grease, install the bearings and apply the spring tension then replace the pin.
If green Yanmars count it would be like this - 1 YM336/w loader 1 JD 850 4wd/ w loader 1 JD850 4wd and 1 JD 850/2wd I think that is a total of 4. Can't have to many.
Checked it all over today for another # and found none. I think if anyone wanted one of these cabs they would have to locate used one. This one was purchased as an option when the tractor was new in the late 80's.
I purchased John Deere 850 4wd (Green Yanmar) project tractor with a Curtis Cab. Have not had time to work on it yet. I would say this cab would fit several Yanmar YM models.
I am getting ready to replace the stub axle bearings on the left front of my YM336D. The question I have is should the seals on the 6211-2RS bearing be remove to allow the 90W to get to the bearing or just leave it sealed? The old bearings look and feel good but have some lost motion in them.
I'm transfering an 80 loader and power steering from one 850 tractor to another identical 850. Got everything hooked up just as it was on the other tractor but for some reason I have no hydraulic pressure. When I installed a loader on my YM336D yanmar I had to install a small plug internally...
